Paragon holds Brussels bash to celebrate tenth birthday

We have celebrated our tenth birthday in style, with all Paragon employees enjoying a two-day trip to Brussels involving the finest Belgian beers, fire-walking and a whole host of fun and games.

Founded with ten directors and four employees in May 2009, Paragon is now one of the UK’s largest independent building and project consultancies, employing nearly 200 people across our five offices in London, Esher, Manchester, Edinburgh and Bristol.

To commemorate and celebrate our growth and success, we treated our team to a fun packed couple of days in the Belgian capital.

Embarking on Eurostar in three exclusive carriages, staff enjoyed various activities ranging from a city-centre treasure hunt to an open-air ‘playground’ complete with giant boardgames, football pitches, table tennis, buffet and bar. The more daring attendees even stepped up to attempt walking across the hot coals.

Reflecting on our impressive expansion, our founding directors presented an entertaining history of the consultancy before a three-course evening meal, beer casino and revelry into the night.

Celebrating the consultancy’s tenth year, Paragon joint managing director, John Munday, said: “Treating the group with this trip was the perfect way to reward and thank them for their continued dedication and hard work. We’ve built a close-knit team of hugely talented people who share the same values, respect each other and, most importantly, have great fun together.

“We’re extremely proud of Paragon’s success over the past ten years and have ambitious plans for growth in the next decade. However, this has been about recognising the company’s fantastic culture and thanking our people for their hugely valued contributions towards our collective success.”
