My career history:

  • Studied at the University of the West of England.
  • Joined Lambert Smith Hampton as a graduate (2004-2007)
  • Joined Edward Symmons as a Senior Surveyor (2007-2010)
  • Associate at 3SIXTY Real Estate (2010-2019)
  • Joined Paragon’s new Bristol Office in early 2019 as Associate Director

My career highlight:

Acting in the capacity of ‘Expert Witness’ and having successful litigation experience where I have given both written and oral evidence to the Court, with my client winning the case on each occasion.  The standout being a contentious dilapidations dispute where the judge awarded over 85% of the claim in my client’s favour.

What keeps me motivated:

Being part of something that can make a difference and delivering something different to the norm – I believe this is what we strive to achieve at Paragon.

What I do differently:

My aim is to provide accurate and pragmatic commercial advice to clients, even if sometimes it means telling them something they don’t necessarily want to hear – it’s often what they need to hear that matters more.

What keeps me busy at the weekend:

Having two young boys 5 and under keeps me more than busy but when I’m not entertaining them I enjoy watching sport (as opposed to playing it these days) and cheering on the mighty Liverpool!  When time allows I can also be found by the side of a lake carp fishing and enjoying some rare chill out time.

My favourite food:

A tough one… but for me it has to be a decent steak.

My favourite eatery:

Sticking with the steak theme – either The Ox or The Cowshed.

My favourite drink:

Pint of Estrella (ideally ice cold in the sun!)

My favourite travel destination:

Really enjoyed Thailand and Barcelona for a city break, but happy pretty much anywhere abroad with the family so long as the sun is shining!

Not many people know this about me:

In my younger years I represented The West of England at Judo and also won bronze in the National Championships.
